This is checked in the interests of road safety and the environment by the test called the MOT.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12px;\">If you have a car that is more than 3 years old, it will need an MOT test each year to ensure that it meets at least the minimum road safety and environmental standards. High levels of vehicle emissions is an offence and you can receive a fixed penalty and fine &#8211; don&#8217;t get caught out.
